Once Human Version 3.0.5
2 September 2026 maintenance — search your crates, dye your drip, craft in RaidZone.
Version 3.0.5 went out with maintenance on 2 September 2026 at 16:00 PT (about two hours). It is a quality-of-life patch, not a new scenario. If you logged in to a mailbox full of Starchrom and a crate, this is why. Next window named in the article: 16 September 2026, 16:00 PT. Always confirm on official Steam news or the in-game notice if you are reading this after that date.
Mailbox compensation
After 3.0.5, all players were granted:
- Starchrom ×1,000
- Mitsuko’s Mark ×100
- Stardust Secret Crate: S14 (Epic) ×1
- Colorful Badge ×30
Claim on the character you main. These are not redeem codes. Spend the Starchrom with the Wish Machine plan, not on a fourth SMG.
Headline systems
Storage search. Crates and Storage Terminals finally search. This is the unsung hero of the patch. Name your boxes and stop scrolling. It pairs with the base building habit of a Terminal plus labelled crates.
Fashion dye upgrade. Cosmetics are still cosmetics. Dye does not add Shrapnel. Have fun after the silo.
RaidZone portable crafting. PvP spin-off players can craft without a full town trip. If you actually play RaidZone, this is the patch. If you do not, ignore the trailer energy and stay on Manibus.
Lightforge Loot Crate: Duskfire Breaker. Cosmetic gacha. Skip unless you like the look. Not a build requirement.
Meta Pass continuous activation rules were optimized. Convenience pass, still not a DPS stat.
Download sizes (as published)
Official notes listed large launcher figures (PS5 around 13.65 GB launcher / small in-game; Xbox similar pattern; PC has historically shown a huge launcher number plus a small client delta, and Steam may download twice if the update lags). Use Wi-Fi. Leave SSD room — system requirements already want 100 GB.
What did not change
Shrapnel and Bounce are still the PvE tags until a numbered weapon patch says otherwise. Festering Gel still heals. Manibus is still the beginner scenario. Isles of Abyss is still an October expansion, not this notes file.
A 3.0.4 bug-fix follow-up around 3–4 September called out skill VFX issues (Ephemeral Dream — Butterfly’s Emissary). If your butterfly looks wrong and still deals damage, you can keep shooting.
How to use this page
Read it the night of maintenance. Claim mail. Try storage search. Redeem any new codes. Then go back to starring the gun on your build page. If 16 September 2026 ships 3.0.6, treat that article as the new source of truth and this page as history.
Official channels for the raw text: Steam news hub for app 2139460, in-game notice, and the sites listed on links.
How 3.0.5 changes your week, concretely
Storage search sounds boring until you own forty crates named box. After this patch you can type ammo or hide and stop dismantling the kitchen to find a stack. Label boxes by tag (Shrapnel ammo, Bounce arrows, food, hide) so the search is not a second inventory skill check. The base building Terminal is the other half of that loop.
RaidZone portable crafting only matters if you play that spin-off. Manibus Metas can skip the paragraph and still have a complete patch. Dye and Lightforge are fashion. Meta Pass tweaks are for people who already pay for convenience; they do not move a Shrapnel breakpoint.
If you were waiting on a real content drop, that is still Isles of Abyss in October, not 3.0.5. Use the mailbox Starchrom on the gun you already chose. A Secret Crate S14 is a maybe-legendary, not a new main. Identify the tag before you star it, same as every other crate week.
When 16 September 2026 maintenance lands, screenshot this page if you need history, then trust the new notice. Live-service wikis that pretend a two-week-old patch is forever are how people craft deleted mods.
What comes after 3.0.5
The 3.0.5 article named 16 September 2026, 16:00 PT as the next maintenance window. Large recent downloads were also preloading Isles of Abyss map resources. A Dev Blog for 24 September 2026 previewed Deviation Fusion across scenarios and a new Frost rifle, SKS - Pathfinder, covered on the Frost Vortex page. Treat those as calendar items until that night’s notes publish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Once Human questions.
Do I have to download 13 GB on PS5 every patch?
Launcher numbers can be huge; in-game deltas are often tiny. The 3.0.5 note listed both. Keep SSD free either way.
Is the Secret Crate a code?
No. It was in the maintenance mailbox. Codes are typed separately.
Did 3.0.5 nerf Shrapnel?
The published headline list did not. Play your current build unless a later note names the tag.
When is the next patch?
3.0.5 named 16 September 2026, 16:00 PT. Confirm in-game if you are past that date.
