Once Human Deviation Fusion
Fuse surplus pets — never your only Festering Gel — when the 24 September update lands.
Deviation Fusion is the pet-crafting layer Starry Studio scheduled for all scenarios after the 24 September 2026 (PT) update. You fuse Deviations with each other, and in the published pitch even with animals or furniture, to remix traits. This page is the packing rule for that night. Capture and housing still live on the Deviants guide; rankings stay on the Deviant tier list.
Until the patch is actually live, treat every recipe screenshot as a rumor. The Dev Blog is the calendar. The tooltip is the law.
What fusion is for
- Surplus copies. Duplicate combat skins, extra miners, event mascots that do not work.
- Trait hunting. A logging beaver that somehow heals is a novelty. A Gel that loses its heal is a disaster.
- Zoo management. Securement caps hurt. Fusion is a sink for pets you were going to release anyway.
What fusion is not: a way to skip capturing Gel and Digby Boy. It is not a Wish Machine equivalent for guns. It is not pay-to-win if you only burn copies you already had.
The night-of-patch checklist
- Screenshot your Isolated Securement roster. Know which unit is the healer.
- Lock Festering Gel, The Digby Boy, and Electric Eel. If you only have one of each, they are not fusion food.
- Park combat pets you use in Prime War and silos. Fusion after the raid, not before.
- Read the live fuse UI for destroy-on-fail versus keep-parents. If the blog and the button disagree, believe the button.
- Fuse extras. Stop when the cap is comfortable.
The embedded video is an advanced player-power pass on fusion theory from 2025–2026. Use it for the idea of trait mixing. Do not copy a recipe that predates the 24 September ruleset.
How it sits next to scenarios
Fusion was announced as rolling out across scenarios, not as an SCP-only toy. Deviation: SCP already wants pets as your damage — fusion there is more tempting and more dangerous. Way of Winter still needs workers that print fuel and food; do not fuse the cook. Eternaland can hold overflow so you do not panic-fuse on a full seasonal cap.
Chaos Deviations, Chaos Trials, and Chaos Medals (Symbiosis updates through 2026) are a different pet track. Do not dump Chaos Codes into fusion until you know they share a UI. Check updates the week of the 24th.
Related September 24 kit
The same Dev Blog wave mentioned new weapons and gear in regular mode, including SKS - Pathfinder (Frost Vortex). That belongs on the Frost Vortex build page, not in your Isolated Securement unit. New named armor (Wind Interpreter Cap, Ankh Mask, Ghost Link set in earlier 2026 drops) still sockets on the armor tier list. Fusion does not replace mods.
If the 24th patch also ships Cradle changes, rebind on controls before you fuse anything in a panic.
The one sentence to remember
If the fuse UI offers a preview of the output trait, screenshot it. Starry has changed pet strings before (Deviation versus Deviant, Activator versus Treatment). A preview that still says “heal” after you picked a logger is the stop sign.
Fuse the extras. Keep the S-tier floor pets. Recheck the tooltip. Then go run a silo.
