A Once Human “build” is a damage tag plus the five systems that multiply it: weapon calibration, armor set, mods, Cradle overrides, Deviant, and food. This hub points at the loadouts worth starring in 2026: Shrapnel, Bounce Compound Bow, Frost Vortex as a side-grade, and PvP / RaidZone. Read the weapon tier list if you have not picked a tag yet.
If you arrived from console launch week, do not copy a 12 million DPS screenshot on day two. Copy the beginner half of Shrapnel or Bounce, then grow stars through the Wish Machine.
What every build page assumes
- You can keep Sanity stable (survival).
- You have a Territory Core that cooks and stores ammo (base building).
- Festering Gel exists (Deviant tier list).
- You are spending Starchrom on this family, not four families.
Skip those and the calibration tables are trivia.
PvE starter picks
Shrapnel is the default. SOCR Last Valor if you want a forgiving AR. SN700 Finale if you want boss windows and can hit shots. Lonewolf / Savior mix, Shrapnel mods, Gel or a weak-spot butterfly.
Bounce is the bow line. Best “I just bought a DualSense” PvE main. Chains add clear speed that an AR does not fake. Compound Bow, Bounce calibrations, crit armor.
Burn / KVD and Unstable Bomber are the next graduate degrees. They are not on their own hub child pages because the Shrapnel and Bounce pages plus the weapon list already tell you when to swap. PvP is a different game
PvP builds use Bullseye snipers, Frost Vortex rifles, and peek timing. Carrying a silo Shrapnel AR into Prismverse is how you donate loot. RaidZone has its own modes and a Blood Moon variant — check updates for console server availability.
How to copy a creator loadout without bricking
- Identify the tag in the title (Shrapnel, Bounce, Bomber, Frost, Burn).
- Match calibration before you match the skin name.
- Copy armor set + two key mods, not seventeen lunar rolls you do not own.
- Use the listed food and Deviant. Skipping Gel to “save a slot” is how wipes happen.
- If the video is older than the last patch, verify the tag still exists.
