Once Human Armor Tier List
Sets are damage tags in clothing form. Socket the tag your gun already uses.
Armor in Once Human is a multiplier for a weapon tag, not a fashion stat-stick. A six-star mismatch set loses to a four-star Lonewolf on a Shrapnel rifle. This list ranks sets by the build they serve in 2026 PvE, then notes PvP. Piece-by-piece legendary shopping belongs in the Wish Machine budget after the gun is online.
Mods (Crit Amplifier, Deadshot, Shrapnel Carnage, Elemental Overload, Reckless Bomber, and friends) are half the set. Empty sockets make every row C-tier.
S-tier sets
Lonewolf. Crit, reload, and Shrapnel synergy. Default partner for SOCR Last Valor and SN700. Creator silo clears that mention “2-piece Lonewolf + Savior helmet” are still playing this cluster. If you main Shrapnel, star this.
Heavy Duty. Elemental and status. Burn KVD, Frost KAM, and shock SMGs live here. Secluded Strike / Thunderclap / Elemental Overload mods are the usual kit.
Falcon. Unstable Bomber and aggressive pistol play. Covered Alliance, Reckless Bomber, First Move Advantage. Pairs with DE.50 Jaws and the PvP hunter plan when you swap a few pieces.
A-tier sets
Savior. Often mixed as a 3-piece with Lonewolf for SN700 shield-break clips. Not always a full five-piece; read the current Shrapnel page before you force a complete set.
Blast (melee). +heavy melee damage at low piece count. Required if you insist on melee; still not a silo recommendation. Fun in the open world, expensive to star.
Scenario-unique winter or visional pieces that add temperature resist or rift damage can be A in that scenario and B on Manibus. Do not import a winter coat into Red Sands as a DPS upgrade.
B-tier and mix-ins
Early crafted greens, mixed legendary cosmetics with no tag, and “whatever dropped in the crate.” Use them until the S-tier chest drops. Animal-hide perks (the 2026 beginner videos obsess over these) sit on top of the set — they are not a replacement for Lonewolf.
Helmets with names like Cage / Wind Interpreter / Ankh Mask are key armor slots that can outrank a matching-set hat if the unique effect feeds your tag (extra Shrapnel, mag refunds, crit). Check patch notes when a new named helm ships; those are the rows that actually move.
Socket priority
- Damage tag mod that matches the gun (Shrapnel Carnage, Static Shock, Reckless Bomber).
- Crit / weak-spot (Crit Amplifier, Deadshot).
- Survivability (Rejuvenating, shield, resist) after you stop dying to Sanity, not instead of Gel.
- Quality-of-life reload and ammo.
Cradle overrides (light weapon mastery, distant weapon mastery, deviant emergency defense, shield protection) are a second layer. Copy them from the build you actually play; do not invent a seven-override fantasy on a two-star gun.
PvP armor
Lonewolf still appears because crit is crit. Momentum Up, Most Wanted / Bull’s Eye, Munitions Amplifier, Covered Alliance, Resist Advantage show up in hunter sniper kits. You are building to win a 1-second peek, not a 3-minute boss. Different sockets, sometimes the same named set.
Practical buy order
New console Meta: gun family → Lonewolf or Heavy Duty chest/legs → key helmet → remaining pieces. Do not complete a Falcon museum while your Shrapnel AR is naked. The getting started week should end with a matching set on the body, not a rainbow of legendaries.
When Isles of Abyss lands in October 2026, expect water/stamina pieces to sneak into A for ocean content. Until then, star the set that feeds the gun you already chose on the weapon tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Once Human questions.
What armor should a beginner craft first?
Lonewolf if you picked Shrapnel or Bounce crit. Heavy Duty if you picked Burn or Frost.
Can I mix sets?
Yes. 3+2 mixes (Lonewolf/Savior) are meta on some snipers. Mix on purpose, not because crates were random.
Do cosmetics change stats?
Skins do not. Named key armor with unique effects does. Read the tooltip.
Is melee armor worth starring?
Only if you have accepted melee's silo ceiling. Most Metas should not.
